Biography

Red was one of the show quality males from our Heart Litter. He was the pup that stole the hearts of everyone he met as a pup. While he wasn’t “the one” for any of our adopters, he was always well loved by all. As time went on we decided to name him. Kellyn wanted to name him Gibbs for Mel Gibson from the movie BraveHeart, but we decided William or Will (for William Wallace) fit him better.

William shows a greater bird drive than that of his mother (at the same age), who is unbelievably birdie and possesses a Junior Hunting title with AKC (in 4 straight tests). We expect that William will go far in the hunting venues with a gentle handler. William has a shine and structure that we feel will also do well in the show ring. William already has his IABCA International Puppy Championship.

Will's forever home watched him since he was a 3 week old baby and they saw him at Kellyn's parents. When we made our trip north to Canada we asked the Seberts (neighbor of Kellyn's parents) to puppysit Will. When we made it back to the United States on Sunday night, Kellyn called to say we would get him Monday morning. Got another phone call from them to verify time, and Kellyn said do you want to keep him. There was a resounding yes. We knew William could not have found a better home and could not be happier for them. Its also a big plus that the Seberts have lived next door to Kellyn's parents for close to 15 years and are Kellyn's other parents. Will was renamed back to "Red" as Mrs. Seberts dad is named Will so "Red" it is, again.

Red won 3 majors at just 7 months old and exactly 1 year from his first points got 2 more to have 14 points. He finished his AKC championship in style by going Best of Breed. He finished with 16 points and 3 majors.

Red was invited to Eukanuba in 2011.
